Produced in a limited edition of twenty copies, this is the first ever English verse translation of a substantial Renaissance Latin poetic masterwork by James Crichton (1560–1582), known a ‘The Admirable Crichton’ and regarded as a paragon of the ‘Renaissance man’. The latin text is published along with Robert Crawford's new English version and introduced in a boxed set featuring eight specially-made signed and numbered original photogravures by Norman McBeath.
